No, a wired connection does NOT work normally. I need to shut off, and turn back on the router multiple times to get it to recognize that it's plugged into the computer. My issue is that the Router, plugged into the computer, does not always work nor is it always recognized. The wireless on the router works perfectly fine. Lately, ever since my last shut down, I'm able to connect for brief periods of time, usually anywhere from 30 seconds to 4 minutes, then the router decides to ignore the PC again, or vise versa. Sometimes I'll get it to the point where it will work for a long time, until I power down the computer, then it has issues again. I have to switch the power to the router on and off repeatedly until I can establish a working link.Įven then, it's not stable. as if it has no connection, and vise versa. Here's the issue:įirst off, the router seems to have a difficult time locating the PC. In addition, I know it's not the router's fault, as the router is able to connect to other PCs and laptops with no problem.īut my computer and this router seem to have some serious rivalry with each other. My computer will work with every other router that I've tried with no issues, but not with the Westell Versalink 327w router. My computer and this router seem to not like each other and have serious incompatibility problems.
